The Marvellous Tone / Piso event, presented the new GHUNA X album, with a video of the artist and the listening of some of his tracks. Also, we celebrated this release with the performance "While my guitar gently weeps" of Vera Mota, the Marçal dos Campos Live Act and the Último+Queimadela dj set.

SERIES BEHAVIOR SERIES
This exhibition combines a group of works produced during two artists residences promoted and produced by the founders of the Piso collective. They took place at C.E.N.T.A (Portugal), in 2007 and at Vila Nova de Cerveira (Portugal), in 2008. The last one was the residence "[Space Between - 03] - A SERIOUS GRAVITY" this was the third meeting in residence for an elastic artistic group of creators of various disciplines, not only for developing experimental procedures but as well to focus on critical analysis of the resulting objects .
The theme that motivated the production of these works was the multiple meanings that are present in all that was created during the residence. In this period we were questioned about the use of absolute and unilateral ideas, a process that has developed on the basis of experimentation, observation and decision, through imaging and conceptual dialogue. In this collective process ideas related to the ambiguity, the absurdity, the irony, the consensus inconsistency, guided permanently the production.
The „Serious“ arises mainly as a provocation, which questions the norm, the social and labor organization, the places and the conventional social behavior.
The 11th of December party celebrates the first period of the Avalanche program, in which the preparation steps where made. During the month of November the current team of this six-months-art-residence was essentially working on the space MATADOR Kantine - which was the former kantine serving the factory on Hobrechtstrasse 65 - constructing a suitable place to work, discuss and experiment. The main purpose for this month was to engage into a brainstorming around the serious thematic which happened mostly through drawing. These drawings where compounded into a publication entitled "A SÉRIO", 130 copies, limited serie, 1st edition of PISO Collective. The release party happened to be a cosy and excellent mood afternoon, evening and night. Starting with a Doublebass and Trumpet duo, David Hagen and Florian Wehse, who gently gave us some time of non-common jazz, than spontaneous musical happenings, soup, gluehwein, humus and other specialities, and finally a great set by Miky Ry.
